California AB 685: What you need to know

The COVID-19 pandemic has created innumerable challenges for employers, not the least of which are a series of newly enacted obligations under federal, state, and local laws.  This is especially true for employers in California, where a new state law, AB 685, adds yet another set of requirements for California employers beginning January 1, 2021.  It is critical for employers to understand the new law’s expansion of Cal-OSHA’s authority and the requirements to notify employees of potential hazards.

Amir has a PhD in Human Resources from Iowa State University, a Professional of Human Resources (PHR) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI), and a SHRM-CP from the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).
